Our Mission

Constellation Schools provides every child an opportunity to obtain an excellent education built on a foundation of character education for life long success.

From the Desk of Principal Waugaman

Howard Waugaman, PrincipalConstellation Schools: Westside Community School of the Arts is a K-8 public community school that opened in 2007. Our school focuses on a quality education for all students with an emphasis on the ARTS. We offer small class sizes, a rigorous curriculum, and a Positive Behavior Intervention System (PBIS) built upon a Character Education foundation. Many of our students have won multiple art awards at local, regional, and national charter school competitions. Artwork from Westside students was previously showcased at Cleveland Hopkins International Airport Youth Art Gallery.

Students graduating from Westside are better prepared to become well-rounded, contributing members of society and our Cleveland-area community. Students concentrating on band and orchestra are regularly offered music scholarships to Lutheran West High School. In addition to numerous Cleveland high schools, our graduates over the years have attended high schools such as Lutheran West, Holy Name, St. Edward, St. Ignatius, St. Joseph Academy, Magnificat, Constellation Schools: Parma Community High, and other suburban high schools in the area.

We look forward to providing your child the education they deserve in a safe, positive learning environment. Thank you for choosing Constellation Schools: Westside Community School of the Arts!
