Constellation Schools: Westside Community School of the Arts is a K-8 school that opened in the Fall of 2007. While our school focuses first on a rigorous, quality academic education for its students, we also emphasize the “Arts” for our students. Students are required to take no less than one hour of an art program daily.
For our students in grades K-3, general music and visual arts are offered daily. Students in grade 4 participate daily in general music and visual arts with the opportunity to be a part of the orchestra as well. For our students in grades 5-8, the daily art programs offered are visual art, choir, band, and orchestra. While students in grades 5-8 must choose one program, they can also participate in two of the four programs. All students in grades K-8 have the opportunity to participate in our after school dance program. This exciting program offers ballet, pointe, jazz, hip hop, and contemporary dance.
We offer small class sizes, a rigorous curriculum, a Positive Behavior Intervention System (PBIS), all built on a foundation of Character Education. When our students graduate from our school, they have begun the process to become well-rounded, valuable members of society. We look forward to giving your child the education that they deserve in a positive learning environment.
